About Me
I believe wonder is one of the most potent medicines for daily life. It is key to community, environment, and product, and I am always working to uplift it in my design practice. Personally, I find it through storytelling and hands-on detail work.
My background in community theatre is key to how I approach this user connection. How can the awe of a curtain rising transfer to our daily rituals? Whether the outcome is props on a set, wearables on the street, or furniture in a home, I want to infuse it with playful, animate energy. My process is grounded in meticulous research and project management as a counter-balance to messy, explorative prototyping. My experience includes product design through the Emily Carr University Industrial Design program, art direction for indie films, and service design research for the ECU Health Design Lab. I approach these challenges visually by applying skills in various mediums, including textiles, woodworking, model making, 3D printing, workshop facilitation, and the fine arts.
Above all, I am driven by collaboration and contributing positively to my communities. I am eager for opportunities to continue growing my skills and learning from talented people!
Out of my practice, I find inspiration with lots of tea, yoga, and adventuring with friends.
